Access medical & imagine report

There should not be any charges to pay for accessing patient's medical imaging reports.... It should be brought into the attention of ministry of health in Canada, if this payment is reliable or not???

Hello Bhadresh,  To begin we would like to thank you for taking the time to provide us feedback, your response is appreciated.  We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced in the process of obtaining your Medical Imaging. Regarding obtaining copies of your Medical Imaging, the process varies depending on what you are requesting.  If you are requesting your Medical Imaging Report only, our facility does not charge for reports and always provides to our patients free of charge. Patients are entitled to have copies of their medical imaging report as per Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) so you are certainly correct. If you are just looking for your report feel free to let us know and it would be our pleasure to forward them to you.  If you are looking to obtain the images of your assessment conducted, we are partnered with Pocket Health. We advise our patient to use Pocket Health as it uses the same encryption standards as banks and federal governments for all imaging transfers and is in full compliance with all  Canadian health data privacy and security requirements. As you mentioned Pocket Health does have a service fee included, however if you are concerned with the reliability of Pocket health there is nothing to worry about as over 600 imaging centers use Pocket Health.  If you have any further questions feel free to let us know we would be more than happy to help.
